My favorite camera!-Hasselblad H3DII-31

I have decided that medium format is the way to go for me in the near future. Not really wanting to go with the price tag, however, I know it will take my images and business to a whole new level. Granted it's not the machinery but the operator; you can't deny quality when you use it. I'll keep you posted when I can get this.

Getting Back To Business

I've been driving back and forward to the Art Institute of Dallas all last week, but with a happy conclusion of getting back to school. But in the meanwhile I've been shooting A LOT. I've had to deal with my studio moving. (Big ups Daniel!) To seemingly all-nighters shooting it seemed like a hundred of iCandy's models. (Hey Londie) Here are some new images to share from what I've been doing.

Man I had fun. Well, for now I'm going to show you a few of my faves from this wedding. Catch you later!

Time to take it to the next level!

It's time to update my blog so you'll know what's going with me and right now.  I've decided that expanding my photographic education will take me to the next level.  So..... I'm attending college!!!  You got it.  I'm attending the Art Institute of Dallas and having a ball!!  Yes, it is school all over again, but I have to say that it's all about being creative and honing your craft.  If you know me, then you know this place is like home for me.  I just finished an assignment of 40 photographs for my professor, Mr. Charlie Freeman (www.CharlieFreeman.com).  He is an amazing photographer that is teaching much me as much as I can soak up from him.  Here's a photo of me taken from the Lighting 1 by my classmate and great photographer, Roderick Pena.

Here are a couple of photos from my Intro To Digital class also taught by Mr. Freeman.  Going back to school has been one of the most rewarding experiences.  I cannot wait until I get my diploma!!  I really love photography and really, really, really love being creative.

I'll keep you posted on how things are going.

Oh!!  By the way, I'll be posting photos from my friend Juan's wedding.  I shoot it tomorrow.  It's a big day for him and it's my present to him and his beautiful wife.

Catch you later.

Made The Switch!!!!

That's right.  I made the switch from Canon to Nikon.  Sure I know Canon just announced the new 5DMkII, but I don't really care about more megapixels.   I want a camera that has exceptional low light capability, and autofocus that is amazing.
I picked up what I consider the "dynamic duo" of Nikon, the D700 and D300.  The D700 really is a D3 in sheep's clothing.  Full frame,  25,600 ISO, weather sealed and so much more including the D3's autofocus.

I took the Michael Baisden Mic with the D700 in studio with only a goose light that is shines 5600K for my light source in a completely dark room.  What an amazing little light to be at the right place.  Check it out.

The sidekick of the duo is the D300.   It has essentially the same image quality of the D700, and a good portion of it's specs.  I can shoot up to 6400 ISO which gives me solid low light shooting ability.

I'm excited to really put my new tools to work.

I'll keep you posted.
